Heading South

  1. The pictures above are rather jumbled. I will describe them from bottom up. The Torre De Hercules on port as we leave La Coruna. The cathedral at Santiago de Compostela, our Wednesday day trip by train from La Coruna. In early days, pilgrims walked there from as far as France and Italy. The predominant symbols are crooked walking staffs and scallop shells (allusion to St Jacques). Worth a visit if you are ever in that area,
The sailboat -- we passed this boat on our way to Ria Camarinas. Pictures give some idea of the swells at sea. Ria Camarinas is a small fishing town, not far from Cape Finisterre. Picture at the top is the approach to the Camnarinas harbour.
